BIO

QUINN DAILEY
I am a filmmaker from the suburbs of Chicago and I am now living in Manhattan, New York. I began learning the building blocks of visual storytelling as a child using my parent’s flip camera to shoot short films in my living room and cutting it up on the family computer to create little home movies. My fascination for storytelling grew as the equipment and scope began to rise.

When I came to New York University as a wrestler I unfortunately blew my knee out before I could even start my freshman season. Trying to make the best of a bad situation, I combined my two loves: Filmmaking and wrestling.

I started shooting film of practice and weaving together little vignettes of life as a wrestler and I made enough of these little films to create a portfolio that I used to transfer into the film school after my freshman year. I would later go on and repurpose that footage for a documentary the school commissioned me to make about a great wrestler with a tragic story that won some awards and aired on the Sports New York Channel. Then, after graduating NYU in 2022 I've been directing, writing, editing, and shooting in New York City.

I am currently working at a startup as an editor while pursuing filmmaking and writing!
